    A risk is any uncertain event or condition that might affect financial portfolio performance, even the most well-constructed portfolio might be deviated from the investment objective. Many investors use risk-reward ratios to compare the expected returns of an investment with the amount of risk undertake in constructing the portfolio. Nonetheless, it is utmost important for an investor to know the insurer and insured risks in financial market along with the various risk measures including the coherent risk concept.

Centre of Accounting, Banking and Finance (CABF) was established with the objectives of facilitating the Faculty of Business and Finance, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in generating knowledge, cultivating research excellence and disseminating knowledge to the society, local and worldwide, through consultancy and research in line with the university's vision. 

Moreover, the Centre also provides a platform for knowledge sharing in accounting, banking and finance areas through the conferences, symposium, seminar, workshop, forum, talk and publication of Journal and bulletin. The Centre aspires to contribute a more holistic impact to the society and nation with a 10-year road map, “Research and Development Roadmap 2021-2032” (1) to build network and collaborate, (2) to share and disseminate the research findings and (3) to encourage a cross-disciplinary research.
